James joined Silverpeak in 2020 as an Analyst, and was promoted to Vice President in 2024.
Having completed many M&A and fundraising transactions across different verticals, James holds a particular interest in semiconductors, deeptech, and enterprise security.
Prior to this, he gained experience in both technology M&A and private equity financing transactions across Europe, Asia, and North America.
He also spent over two years as Troop Commander in the British Army.
James studied Chemistry at the University of St Andrews, where he specialised in the application of the principles of Quantum Mechanics to nanoparticle behaviours. He holds a Masters in Finance and Accounting from Imperial College Business School.
James enjoys field sports, mountaineering and is an ever-optimistic supporter of Scottish rugby.
