Pietro combines extensive experience in global tech deal advisory with a background in engineering and an entrepreneurial character, bringing drive and energy to every transaction.
Pietro’s dynamism, passion for technology, and straight-talking attitude have allowed him to develop strong relationships and deliver successful outcomes across a range of transaction types, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, growth financings, public takeovers, continuation funds and divestitures.
He has recently advised ID Quantique on the $250m sale to IonQ, and Photonic on the $100m+ financing round by a syndicate including BCI, Microsoft, NSSIF, Amadeus and Inovia.
Prior to founding Silverpeak, Pietro held roles in investment banking, corporate strategy and engineering. He was a Principal at Broadview (acquired by Jefferies), Managing Director at Torch Partners, Corporate Development Director at LexisNexis (part of RELX), a consultant at Bain & Company and a design engineer at OHB and Italtel.
Pietro holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Micro and Optoelectronic Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. He is fluent in English, Italian, German, French, and speaks some Spanish.
Outside of work, Pietro is active in tennis, sailing, skiing, cycling, and enjoys spending time with his family and supporting his charitable interests.
