David combines hands-on CEO experience with technology, engineering and corporate finance expertise to uncover value in complex tech businesses.
David helps unlock the potential value in client’s businesses by drawing on more than 12 years of operational experience as well as over 20 years in corporate finance advisory roles.
His operational background spans telecoms, software, satellites, location services, sensors and precision engineering, bringing a pragmatic, execution-focused perspective to technology transactions. Recent deals include advising Australia-based Blue Ocean Marine on its sale to Helsing; US business mPower Technology on its $24m+ Series B funding round; and Oxford-based Alloyed on its $47m Series B financing.
Prior to Silverpeak, David worked at Cobalt Corporate Finance and Clearwater Corporate Finance. His most recent operational role was as CEO of Magnetic North Software, a proprietary cloud contact centre and unified communications provider, which he led through three years of 30%+ growth before its $39m sale to West Corporation (now Intrado).
David holds a first-class degree and Masters in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and an MBA from INSEAD.
Outside of work, David enjoys running, sailing, and occasional kitesurfing, and remains actively involved in angel investing.
