Paddy is a founding Partner of Silverpeak.  He has over 25 years’ experience of successfully advising on transactions in the technology sector, and specialises in private equity, software/SaaS, digital & tech enabled services and some Deeptech sub-sectors.

Paddy’s extensive experience in the sector includes seven years at private equity group 3i after a stint at electronics group STC plc. Prior to co-founding Silverpeak, Paddy founded Cobalt Corporate Finance in 1996 which he led until the merger creating Silverpeak in 2016. Having also acquired a compliance software business which was sold in 2022 and been a board member of a high growth intelligent automation SaaS company, he understands the real issues in growing a tech business.

Paddy holds a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester (UMIST), is a Liveryman of the Information Technologists Company and a founding member of the international M&A network Globalscope.

Dynamic and passionate, Pietro Strada brings over two decades experience of investment banking in the technology sector to the Silverpeak senior team.

Pietro is a founding Partner at Silverpeak and has 25 years’ deal making experience in the technology sector having completed numerous successful deals across the globe.

His dynamic approach, passion for technology, and straight-talking attitude have allowed him to develop strong relationships and deliver valuable outcomes for his clients in a range of transaction types including trade sales, growth financings, public takeovers, mergers, continuation funds and divestitures.

Prior to forming Silverpeak Pietro was Principal in Jefferies Tech team, Managing Director at Torch Partners, Corporate Development Director at LexisNexis (a division of RELX), consultant at Bain & Co, and an electronic design engineer at OHB System and Italtel, as well as founder of Centreboard Partners, a boutique advisory firm.

He also holds an MBA from INSEAD, an MSc in Micro and Opto Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and speaks fluent English, Italian, German, French, and some Spanish.

Pietro is active in many sports (tennis, sailing, skiing, running, and cycling), loves to spend time with his wife and children, and support his charitable interests.
